Adjuvant Chemotherapy
There are several chemotherapy treatments that are use for different types of cancer patients. Adjuvant chemotherapy is one of these treatments that doctors claim would apply to certain situations. We will provide you some background on the adjuvant method and how it is applied.
If surgery is performed on a tumor and it turns out to be malignant, the doctors choose to use the adjuvant method especially if there are no remaining cancer cells. So now that you are free of cancer, they are going to kill all of your healthy cells, so if your cancer comes back, you will be back to for more expensive chemotherapy.
When choosing a treatment there are a number of drugs therapies that would fall into the category of preventative medicine. They “claim” that if they put you on chemotherapy that this will ensure that your cancer will not return. And to do this, they begin a series of treatments.
They also tell us that this is going to help you to feel safer knowing that the chances of recurrence are lessened by this approach after their surgery. In other words, they get your hopes up thinking that you are cured by their great knowledge and even greater drugs.
Not only is adjuvant chemotherapy NOT a preventative treatment, but they are killing healthy cells all over your body after you are trying to recover from surgery, putting you at greater risk to develop more cancer cells, just the opposite of what the doctors are trying to do. Chemotherapy is not able to choose which cells to kill, they kill cells that MAY turn into cancer later, but they kill EVERY cell, every healthy cell in the body.
Adjuvant chemotherapy is usually the method that they choose after surgery for malignancies. They claim that this will make a big difference in the recovery process, which may be true, but does not necessarily mean that it will make a positive difference.
They claim that it reduces the lingering malignant cells and any healthy cells that are there to help fight the cancer naturally. There will not be any healthy cells to feed and nourish your body and to help fight this on your own. This is not always the way to give you hope for a better tomorrow.
