Help During Chemotherapy Treatments
There is not anyone on this planet that likes the word cancer except the manufacturers of the drugs used in chemotherapy. This is a frightening time for you, and your family. You are now faced with a deadly illness and wondering what your options are. This is a time for you and your family to unite and build the strongest support system you can build.
Cancer is not something you treat like the flu, just stay home for a while and hope it goes away. Everyone needs to deal with it together. You and your family need to get together and review ALL treatment options and their risks. There are many methods of treatment available and they all don’t have to be toxic drugs. You will not hear of these methods from the traditional doctors. You need to research alternative treatments and there are many.
You will not want life to stop, but you will need extra help while trying to battle this disease. If you have children involved, have the family take turns helping you with them. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, your family feels lost; they want to know what they can do to help you through this. Let them feel that they are doing something, all that they can physically do. While they can’t heal you, they can help you while your body fights this. When it is quiet during the day, take a nap.
Do whatever you can to keep your strength up so you can be available when your children will need you. Do your research on anything and everything about your cancer. There are many ways to fight this. Chemotherapy is NOT always the answer.
Find out about the chemotherapy and what the risks are, what is it doing to your body? Find out if there are other alternatives, talk to others who have been through what you are going through now. Involve your family throughout the entire process. Do not carry this on your own. This will hurt your progress, not help it.
